From just 10 churches in the Republic in 1980, there are now 34 churches who are part of the Association of Baptist Churches in Ireland. As a Mission, we have been planting churches in Ireland since 1888, the year when the Irish Baptist Home Mission was formed. (It was later merged by the churches with the Irish Baptist Foreign Mission to become Baptist Missions). Today, we are supporting fourteen different church planting efforts and we long to put more evangelists/church planting couples "on the ground" . In Dublin alone, others have identified at least 15 large suburban areas with little or no gospel witness. PRAY to the Lord of the harvest to raise up labourers for His harvest field.
