Andrew & Rosalia Elliott
Antrim, Spain
Andrew was born in Belfast, and moved to Edinburgh with his family when he was 14. He returned to study languages at Queens University, Belfast and after graduating, Andrew joined O.M. Rosalia is from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After graduating from seminary, she worked in missions in the interior of Brazil and then moved overseas. They both worked in ministry in different parts of the Arab world. After marrying in 1999, they then moved to Spain, working with O.M.'s North Africa team. During a sabbatical year in 2005-2006, they decided to leave O.M., in order to focus on church based ministry. This opened the doors to a partnership with Baptist Missions. Andrew and Rosalia began serving with Baptist Missions in 2008.
In August 2021 they returned to Northern Ireland for a period of furlough believing that their time of service in Algeciras had come to an end. They are currently exploring various possibilities for future ministry in Spain in consultation with our partners, the Federation of Independent Evangelical Churches in Spain. Andrew is currently serving part time with Dromore Baptist Church in a Bible teaching/preaching capacity and he and Rosalia are serving on teams/visiting different potential ministry locations in Spain. Their older daughter Rebecca is going into her second year of study at the Irish Baptsit College while their younger daughter Natalie is commencing studies at Queen's University.
