The Sower Radio took another step forward by officially inaugurating its ministry. To date, the Lord has blessed by providing money from BM supporters for a custom-made building, equipment (computers, cabins and recorders) and a team of workers, and we were pleased to announce that the radio is now broadcasting twenty four hours each day through the web page www.radioelsembrador.org

Radio ‘El Sembrador' aims to broadcast evangelistic programmes and quality Bible teaching around the Tacna district. Ken Scott writes ...

"During 2004 we were blessed by being able to buy a piece of land, adjacent to the Baptist Seminary in Tacna, designated for use as a radio station. Although I predicted that 2005 would be 'the year of the radio', all I was able to see accomplished was the formation of a legal entity with help from Blanca Valenzuela (our full-time secretary) and the construction of a two storey building designated for a radio station. All attempts at obtaining a radio license and frequency failed to meet with success. I have always believed that the radio was the Lord's will. Good Bible teaching, clear gospel preaching and wholesome music remain our vision and is much-needed in southern Peru. The Lord has blessed again by supplying more funds and since returning to Peru in February 2006, the Lord has opened doors and a license and frequency are being purchased. At the time of writing I have just returned from Lima, having interviewed two couples with a view to their working in Tacna. The Lord's timing is perfect and 2006 was 'the year of the radio".
