This week I met with 7 women who had just returned from Peru. Their journey was long and expensive and they knew that the obstacles to sharing deeply with the people they met were huge. Was it worth it? Did it make any difference, or just reinforce the notion that mission is for the wealthy, wise westerner? Well, the messages coming back were all about what they learned from our Peruvian brothers and sisters and respect for missionaries (past and present) who have served there. I hope to post a short video with a few of their comments next week.
Mission exposes us to our own issues as we step out of our comfort zones. Mission helps us see the global church and how God gives gifts to His church everywhere. Mission is for all Christians! So, here is a way to get informed:
14th May (7.30pm) is the night when we share news from all around our Missionary family and there will be opportunity to praise God together as the Ballymena church musicians lead us. John Samuel is returning from London to share God’s Word. You are invited!
